Officially erected by His eminence Joseph Cardinal Parecattil on June 10th 1976, to empower and to enrich family relationships, Family Apostolate Centre Ernakulam (FACE) shelters diverse ministries for mentoring families in today’s fast changing world. Catering to the needs of the time, FACE operates from two centres- Renewal Centre, Kaloor and Jeevalaya Family Park, Kalady.
Today, Jeevalaya Family Park stands as a synonym for Family Apostolate Ministry. True to its meaning “House of Life”, Jeevalaya offers a peaceful haven where families can renew their bonds through the spiritual and psychological guidance of experienced professionals. Officially inaugurated on November 4th 2012, by Mar Sebastian Adayanthrath, then Auxiliary Bishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly, Jeevalaya continues to serve families through the support of a dedicated team of experts. Nestled on the Serene bank of periyar River, the park offers a tranquil setting ideal for reflection and reconnection. With clean, well-furnished double rooms featuring attached baths, Jeevalaya ensures a comfortable and rejuvenating stay for every family.
The integral growth of the human person is deeply rooted in human relationships. The family, as a network of diverse relationships, plays a central role in this development. Among these, Psychology highlights the husband-wife and parent-child relationships as primary and significant. Their importance lies in their potential for deep intimacy, closeness, mutuality, dynamism, life-giving influence, and interdependence.
By continually nurturing these relationships, individuals are empowered to realize their full potential in a holistic way. In this light, we embrace the Christian vision of the family as a vital channel of God's grace—where loving relationships themselves become a manifestation of grace.
To become true channels of grace, family relationships must be nurtured with intentionality and consistency. This nurturing involves both removing toxic behaviours and cultivating positive, life-giving patterns.
With a holistic and structured approach, we empower individuals and families to discover deeper dimensions of their relationships. We offer inspiration, motivation, and practical guidance through workshops, meditation, spiritual retreats, sacramental celebrations, counselling, lectures, discussions, publications, and multimedia programs. Our goal is to help families maintain harmony, resilience, and spiritual growth in their shared journey.
And this is what the first man experienced at the first human relationship, “This one, at last, is bone of my bonds and flesh of my flesh” (Gen. 2:23).
Second Wedding Anniversary യോട് അനുബന്ധിച്ചു ഒരു പ്രോഗ്രാമിൽ ഇതുപോലെ പങ്കെടുക്കണമെന്ന് ആഗ്രഹമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. Pre marriage course പോലെ തന്നെ ആണ് എന്ന് അറിഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ നല്ല താത്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. സ്ത്രീ- പുരുഷ വ്യത്യാസങ്ങൾ മനസിലാക്കാനും പരസ്പരം സംസാരത്തിലും പ്രവർത്തിയിലും പുലർത്തേണ്ട ആശയവിനിമയം എങ്ങയെന്ന് സാധിച്ചു. ഒത്തിരി സന്തോഷം തോന്നി.

നല്ല ഒരു അനുഭവം ആയിരുന്നു ഈ മൂന്നു ദിവസം. മാരേജ് പ്രിപ്പറേഷൻ റിട്രീറ്റ് എന്ന് കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ഒരു ധ്യാനം പോലെ ആകുമോ എന്ന വിഷമത്തോടു കൂടിയാണ് ഇവിടെ എത്തിയത്, പക്ഷേ വന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ എനിക്ക് വിവാഹത്തിൻറെ സങ്കല്പങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് ബോധ്യം വന്നു. ഞാൻ മനസ്സിലാക്കിയതല്ല ദാമ്പത്യജീവിതം, ഒരു ദാമ്പത്യജീവിതം തുടങ്ങുന്നതിനു മുമ്പ് അറിയേണ്ട കാര്യങ്ങൾ, എങ്ങനെയായിരിക്കണം ഒരു ദാമ്പത്യം മുന്നോട്ടു കൊണ്ടുപോകേണ്ടത്, മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെ പങ്ക്, അങ്ങനെ കുറെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ പകർത്തേണ്ട കാര്യങ്ങൾ, ശരിക്കും പറഞ്ഞാൽ ഒരു നല്ല തിരിച്ചറിവായിരുന്നു ഈ ധ്യാനം.

നല്ലൊരു ദാമ്പത്യജീവിതം നയിക്കുന്നതിന് ആവശ്യമായ കാര്യങ്ങളും മാർഗ്ഗനിർദ്ദേശങ്ങളും വിശദമായി ഓരോ ക്ലാസുകളിലും പറഞ്ഞുതന്നു. ഓരോ ക്ലാസുകളും ഒന്നിനൊന്ന് മികച്ചതായി അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടു. ഇത് ഞങ്ങളുടെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ വളരെയധികം ഗുണം ചെയ്യും എന്ന് കരുതുന്നു ഇനിയും ഈ പ്രോഗ്രാം ഇങ്ങനെ തന്നെ മുന്നോട്ടു പോകട്ടെ എന്ന് ആശംസിക്കുന്നു.
